Our swimmers take part in a competitions structure which is a carefully thought out balance of local opportunities for our junior swimmers entering their very first gala, all the way through to top Island and Channel Island meets. At the next level up it is off island for differing levels of graded and open competition all the way through to Nationals.
We are keen to secure opportunities for our swimmers which expand their horizons both directly and indirectly. We took the first ever group of young swimmers from Jersey to participate in the Junior Island Games (Jeux des Isles) held in Crete 2005. A fantastic cultural visit as well as a competitive swimming meet. At senior Island Games level you can also find some of our past gold medal winners honoured with their pictures displayed within public sports centres.
For the Island community at large we also stage two open sea swims each year. The Castle to Harbour and the Green Island swims have both been part of island life for well over 50 years. These events attract wide swimming and public interest.
