Today, Sunday 16th May the 19th Mini Age Group Gala finally took place after postponement due to sanitary issues. The gala was well worth the wait. Jemima Houze and Ben Chadwick took the honours of the best Girl and Boy.The story does not stop there. To a packed spectator stand the youngsters excelled with 7 meet records not just being broken but some were smashed! Toby Ritzema broke 4, for the 8 year and under boys. The events were 25m Fly, Back, Free and 50m Free. Toby narrowly missed taking the 25m breaststroke record too by a mere 2/100th of a second. Also on the record trail was Cameron Aird who broke 2 meet records for the 10 year old boys. Cameron smashed the 50m fly record and shaved a new record in the 50m free. The final record tumbled to Master Ben Chadwick who had a fantastic afternoon's racing. Not content with taking home the top boy award Ben also set a new Meet record in the 50m Free.
