GSC Annual Junior Meet 2009 |

24 junior development squad members from Jersey Swimming Club competed in the Annual Guernsey Junior meet on Saturday 16th of May, despite terrible sea conditions making it a very rough crossing by ferry for them to say the least!
The Junior development captains representing Jersey Swimming Club for the meet, were 11 year olds Kyristina Wharton who made it into the final of the 11 year old 50m Breastroke, and gained a new personal best time and Harry Gibbon, who did a fantastic job supporting some of the younger squad member's who were competing for the very first time.

 Congratulations to Leila Osman who has qualified to swim at the Jeux des Iles in Mallorca as part of the JASA team, which travels towards the end of May. It is a great achievement and Leila has worked hard and is ready to go and give her best, and enjoy what will be a very unique trip in a lovely location. As a Club we can also be very proud that Keiron Bowbrick has accepted an invitation to travel with the Jersey team as Head Coach. Keiron has built up many years experience and respect in local swimming and this is I am sure reflected in this appointment. So to Leila and Keiron and indeed the entire JASA team who will be travelling we wish you every success for the trip to Mallorca.
